Fire-resistant conveyor belt

12.09.2015

Conveyor transport is an essential tool for mining, its massive use in mines and mines requires increased safety parameters, in particular for conveyor belts.
After Rosnadzor adopted the law on ensuring safety requirements in mines and mines, Rubex Group specialists began developing a fire-resistant / flame-retardant conveyor belt. During the work, more than 2,500 variants of rubber compounds were tested.
As a result, we have achieved high indicators of fire safety: the oxygen index of the rubber compound used is at least 30% (26% in typical belts). The tape withstands self-extinguishing tests – after exposure to a directed flame in a laboratory adit for 5 minutes, the length of the undamaged section of the tape is at least 30%.
The belts are manufactured with an additional belt pad, which protects the belt surface from shock loads and longitudinal tears. These belts are recommended for operation on main and local mine workings, hazardous for dust and gas. Our range contains all standard sizes of flame retardant conveyor belts with strength from 800 N / mm to 2500 N / mm.
Today Rubex Group provides more than half of the demand of the mining industry in Russia for a fire-resistant conveyor belt. Our regular customers are all key players in the Russian market, including Kuzbassrazrezugol, Evraz, Koks-Mining, Marganetsky GOK, Raspadskaya, SUEK, Yakutugol, Yuzhkuzbassugol, Alrosa.
